Itinirary

Day 1: Huaraz – Llamac – Cuartelhuain

Depart early from Huaraz and drive to Llamac, the starting point of the trek. Begin hiking toward Cuartelhuain Camp, enjoying views of wide valleys and grazing llamas.
Overnight camping.

Cross Cacanan Punta Pass (4,700 m / 15,420 ft) with panoramic views of the Huayhuash peaks. Descend to Mitucocha Lake, one of the most beautiful campsites of the trek.
Overnight camping.

Ascend to Carhuac Pass (4,650 m / 15,255 ft) and descend to the stunning Carhuacocha Lake, surrounded by towering peaks including Yerupajá and Siula Grande.
Overnight camping.

Hike over Siula Pass (4,800 m / 15,750 ft), one of the most impressive viewpoints of the trek. Descend toward Huayhuash Camp, passing remote valleys and glacial streams.
Overnight camping.

Cross Portachuelo de Huayhuash Pass (4,750 m / 15,583 ft) with incredible views of Viconga Glacier. Continue to Viconga Camp, where you may enjoy natural hot springs.
Overnight camping.

Ascend to the highest point of the trek, Cuyoc Pass (5,000 m / 16,404 ft). Enjoy breathtaking 360° views before descending into the remote Guanacpatay Valley.
Overnight camping.

Hike through traditional Andean landscapes, crossing Huatiac Pass. Continue toward Cutatambo Camp, surrounded by quiet valleys and local wildlife.
Overnight camping.

Final hiking day through the Yaucha Valley, followed by private transport back to Huaraz, arriving in the late afternoon.
