Itinirary

Full Day: Huaraz – Macashca Village – Rajucolta Ravine – Rajucolta Lagoon – Huaraz

The Laguna Rajucolta full-day tour starts with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Huaraz, followed by a scenic drive north through the Callejón de Huaylas to the trailhead near the village of Hualcán. From there, the hike begins along a gradually ascending path that follows a glacial river and passes through wide Andean valleys with panoramic mountain views. After approximately 3 to 4 hours of trekking, you will reach Laguna Rajucolta, where you will have time to rest, enjoy your packed lunch, and admire the stunning glacial scenery at the foot of Mount Huantsán. After free time at the lake, you will descend along the same route and return to Huaraz in the late afternoon.
