Itinirary

Day 1: Huaraz – Vaquería – Paria

Drive from Huaraz toward the Santa Cruz valley, reaching Vaquería trailhead. Hike into the upper valley and camp at Paria while enjoying close-up views of surrounding summits.
Overnight camping.

Early ascent to Punta Union Pass (4,750 m / 15,580 ft) for panoramic views of Alpamayo and the Cordillera Blanca. Descend to Taullipampa and set camp.
Overnight camping.

Hike past lakes including Jatuncocha, visit the Alpamayo viewpoint and continue to Llamacorral or nearby campsites surrounded by high peaks.
Overnight camping.

Descend through the lower valley to Cashapampa and transfer back to Huaraz. End of the trek.
