Laguna 69 is the Cordillera Blanca’s most famous day-hike: a dramatic turquoise lake set beneath steep granite walls and glaciers. The trail begins near Cebollapampa/Punta Olímpica and climbs through high puna and rocky moraines to a spectacular glacial cirque. This is a full-day outing from Huaraz, best done when acclimatized and in dry-season weather.

Itinirary

Full Day: Huaraz – Cebollapampa / Punta Olímpica – Laguna 69 – Huaraz

Early pickup in Huaraz and drive to the Cebollapampa / Punta Olímpica trailhead. Hike the uphill trail through puna and moraine to Laguna 69, spend time at the lake for photos and rest, then descend to the trailhead and return to Huaraz.
End of the tour.
